I HAVE BEEN A RAVENOUS READER since very early childhood. By the time my fourth grade teacher finished reading Tolkien’s book, The Hobbit, to us all, I was hooked on fantastic literature for life—though for me that taste embraced not just standard science fiction and fantasy but everything from Bullfinch’s Mythology to Charles Dickens and Edgar Allen Poe—all of whom I had consumed voraciously by the time I was twelve years old.

For many years, I wrote things for my own enjoyment, but let art fill most of the ‘working space’ in my life. Then, in the late 90s, I began to grow tired of trying to tell big stories just one frame at a time. I still loved making images, and always will. But I began to suspect that if a picture is worth a thousand words, a book might be worth a thousand pictures. Since then, I have been writing like I meant it, and managed to produce one fairly successful novel, with another written and on its way.

The links on this page will take you to all kinds of writing, some published, some yet to be published, some purely personal and/or experimental. Enjoy. :]
