Art > Colored  Pencil

MUCH OF MY EARLY COMMERCIAL ILLUSTRATION was done in the unusual medium of Prismacolor pencil. I loved colored pencil's precision and meditative, tactile quality. The images seemed to flow down my arm and out onto the page through my fingertips. It was not a fast way to generate images, however, and it was a more difficult medium than most to make changes or corrections in. Eventually I gave colored pencil up for a variety of reasons, and turned entirely to digital art tools, which I've enjoyed using more and more as both they and I have evolved and improved.

This gallery contains samples of colored pencil work from those earlier days. Enjoy!
